Doctoral supervisor of the Department of Chemistry, Zhejiang University, with a senior professional title. His main research direction is low-cost energy storage battery materials and energy storage systems, including sodium ion batteries and aqueous batteries. He was a senior scientist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in the United States, and presided over two U.S. Department of Energy energy storage battery projects. In 2019, he was selected into the National Overseas High-level Talent Youth Project, Zhejiang Province Thousand Talents Program, and Zhejiang University Hundred Talents Program.
He is currently presiding over key projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation, general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, and a number of national key and provincial laboratory open projects. He has published more than 60 SCI papers, and his papers have been cited more than 8,000 times, including Nature Energy, Nature Nanotechnology, Energy & Environmental Science, Advanced Materials, etc. He was invited by the top international journal Nature Energy to share his personal academic growth with young scientists around the world (a total of five in the world), and was invited by the "Frontier Energy Research Women Scientists" column organized by the American Chemical Society ACS Energy Letters to introduce the progress of the research group.
The research work has been reported by many well-known media at home and abroad. As the main convener, he has organized many international conferences such as ACS and MRS on energy materials. He serves as a reviewer for important domestic and international academic journals such as Nature Energy, Nature Communications, Advanced Material, Energy Storage Science and Technology, Chinese Journal of Physics Express, and Chinese Journal of Physical Chemistry.
