Born in Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province in July 1958, he is an expert in power transmission and transformation engineering and power system planning, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a member of the Population, Resources and Environment Committee of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and the former chairman and party secretary of China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd.
In 1982, Shu Yinbiao graduated from North China Electric Power University with a bachelor's degree in power system, and later served as section chief and director of the National Power Dispatching and Communication Center of the State Power Corporation;
In December 2002, he served as director of the Engineering Construction Department of the State Grid Corporation and general manager of the Power Grid Construction Branch;
In April 2005, he served as a member of the party group and deputy general manager of the State Grid Corporation;
In 2007, he obtained a doctorate degree in power system and automation from Wuhan University; In May 2013, he served as a director, general manager and member of the party group of the State Grid Corporation;
In May 2016, he served as chairman and party secretary of the State Grid Corporation;
From November 2018 to September 2022, he served as chairman and party secretary of China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd.
It is mainly engaged in grid operation and power system planning, construction and technology research and development of major ultra-high/ultra-high voltage transmission projects, and research on international energy and power standards.
