Tang Yi is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Electrical Engineering of Southeast University, and the director of the Institute of Power System Automation. He graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology and visited the Institute of Advanced Technology of Virginia Tech in the United States from March 2009 to March 2010.
He is responsible for 5 National Natural Science Foundation projects, undertakes national key research and development plans and more than 120 scientific and technological projects at all levels, and won the first prize of Jiangsu Electric Power Science and Technology Progress Award, the second prize of Hubei Science and Technology Progress Award, and the special prize of State Grid Corporation of China Science and Technology Progress Award; published more than 190 SCI/EI indexed papers, and authorized more than 140 national invention patents. At the same time, combined with the latest developments in professional fields, the latest technological developments such as smart grids, cyber-physical systems, big data and artificial intelligence are integrated into the field of power system analysis and control, and continuous breakthroughs are made in research directions to help the power industry achieve the goal of "carbon peak and carbon neutrality" as soon as possible.
