Professor of the School of Chemical Engineering, Tianjin University, Director of the Key Laboratory of Advanced Carbon and Electrochemical Energy Storage, Tianjin, Member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Director of the Key Laboratory of Advanced Carbon and Electrochemical Energy Storage, Tianjin, Special Allowance Expert of the State Council, Science Ambassador of Tianjin, and Outstanding Contribution Expert of Tianjin. He serves the national dual carbon strategy, engages in research on carbon functional materials and advanced batteries, and makes important contributions to the development of China's new generation of batteries and green energy storage technologies. Invented graphene conductive agent technology, led the upgrading of lithium-ion battery technology and industry with low-carbon solutions, and won the second prize of the National Technological Invention Award; took the lead in proposing the concept of "dense energy storage", invented the preparation technology of dense porous carbon, won the first prize of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education, authorized more than 50 invention patents, and built an international patent pool covering China, the United States, Japan, and South Korea.

Focus on new quality productivity and practice industry-university integration. He founded a technology company, developed the "micron silicon carbon" negative electrode for lithium-ion batteries, built the world's first 500-ton micron silicon carbon production line, and provided services for the 100 billion-yuan lithium power battery industry; established a "screening carbon" structural model, and refreshed the world record for the capacity of commercial negative electrode materials for sodium-ion batteries.

Rooted in the three-foot podium, shouldering social responsibilities. He trained 3 students to become national young talents and was named an excellent teacher in Tianjin; participated in national political consultations and actively made suggestions; served as the president of the Tianjin University Western Returned Scholars Association, committed to international exchanges, and gathered development synergy.
