He has been engaged in the research of basic theories and key technologies of safety control of intelligent networked new energy vehicles for a long time, and has achieved research results in the fields of power battery system safety control, intelligent networked vehicle safety control, and flying car energy power system safety control technology.

The first finisher won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize of the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award, the special prize of the China Society of Automotive Engineering Technology Invention Award, and the first prize of the China Automobile Industry Technology Invention Award. Adhering to the original intention of cultivating morality and educating people, and taking on the mission of teaching and educating people, the first finisher won the first prize of national teaching achievements.

As the project leader, he undertook more than 40 scientific research projects such as the national "14th Five-Year Plan" key R&D special projects and the National Natural Science Foundation key projects, published 93 SCI papers, authorized 107 national invention patents, and 43 software copyrights, and won a total of 16 national, provincial, ministerial and industry association science and technology awards.

He founded the Intelligent Connected Vehicle Safety Branch of the China Society of Automotive Engineers and the Flying Vehicle Branch of the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and served as the chairman. He is also a member of the special group for the compilation of the "National Comprehensive Three-dimensional Transportation Network Planning Outline", deputy chairman of the National Product Defect and Safety Management Standardization Technical Committee, director of the Technical Committee of the National Market Supervision Technology Innovation Center (New Energy Vehicle Digital Supervision Technology and Application), co-chairman of the SAE Vehicle Safety and Information Security Technical Committee, and deputy leader of the expert group for the compilation of the key special project guideline of the "Cyberspace Security Governance" of the 14th Five-Year National Key R&D Program.
